Here's the piece we talked about it's about 45mm long
and was cast as 1 piece. It took me about 2.5 hours to design
but all of the scrolls are orginals. So in that regard there
is some time in that process. But if you do much wax carving
think about carving all of that scroll then after it is cast
having to weld in all the heads and then finishing. When the
piece came out of the oven I magnetic tumbled it, the used some
fine brushes and pumice wheels to clean up. Set the stones and
I was done. Got $450.00 for the job. The machine will do alot
of work for you, but you still have to think about how to make
what you are doing work, plus you need some wax carving skills.
But with alittle practice and playing around the software you
will be amazed at what this machine can do......and it didn't
cost 20 grand.
