The machine will effect your creativity and work. Also bundled with the machine is a far more precious addon that most do not suspect when we bought the mill. We become part of a family of millers that live all over the world. Our common tie, is the mill. Like most families, some are popular orhters are more like black sheep, while some are old and others are just beginning.
My best advise to you is to get a notebook, then start reading the posts on this website, take notes, and download the patterns and 3de patterns. I
use them to look at construction ideas, not so much as make a copy, but
try to figure out the steps the person took to make the design.
Keep a bit of humor and do not develope a thin skin. Like kids who wrestle and cut up, even horseplay, nothing can be so serious as to destroy a family. We help each other, and in doing so, we help ourselves. Sometimes teaching another how to do something makes it clear to all.
No question is ever foolish or redundant. You have the courage to ask for help, and there are guys and gals who will offer assistance to assist you.
When we discover something on the internet that can help all, we share it, and let the market rule.
Now for the questions of sanity..... joining the ward. I have noticed changes, or my wife has noticed that when I snore at night, I make noises like a mill rather than the normal raddle. I make milling noises sometimes in Church, and when at the Gym, I make milling noises. My doctor had me say "ahhh" during my physical and out came milling sounds. He thought that I was having some problem, so he recomended that I vist a ear, nose and throat specialist. No Known cure for Rolanditis!
Welcome to the ward and to the Roland Mill Family.....Winstone

Careful Alan, your scaring the new guy. You have answered a question of mine though. My wife will be very happy now that I can explain to her what that sound is at night, in place of my snoring.
